The St. Albert Gazette has chronicled the lives of residents and area events for more than 60 years. The paper was founded in 1961 in the centennial year of Alberta's oldest permanent settlement. Today the weekly published full-colour tabloid focuses on delivering award-winning journalism in print and online.

Our team has collected hundreds of industry honours over the decades. The awards include several citations as best newspaper in the country from the Canadian Community Newspapers' Association, as recently as 2013; and many wins as best newspaper in the province from the Alberta Weekly Newspaper Association.
The Gazette enjoys a strong readership of its print and online products.

St. Albert is located in the beautiful Sturgeon River valley just outside of Edmonton's northern boundary. St. Albert is the sixth largest city in Alberta, with more than 65,000 residents. To the north another 34,000 people live in towns, villages, acreages and farms of Sturgeon County. All told the city has a regional trading area that exceeds one million people. The average household income in St. Albert in 2010 was $136,000; the third highest for a municipality in Alberta.
