Description
If you thrive on covering municipal politics you will be interested in a full-time reporting position at the St. Albert Gazette. This award-winning twice-weekly community newspaper seeks an experienced city hall reporter who has a nose for news and who can write stories that are engaging and informative. The successful candidate will have excellent research and writing skills and have a demonstrated ability to write news and features on the municipal and general assignment beats. Candidates must have journalism training and at least two years of reporting experience, preferably in municipal politics. The successful candidate will have a reputation for working well with colleagues and sources alike.
Qualifications
The chosen candidate will be a self-starter, who can meet tight deadlines with ease. Photography skills and social media experience will be definite assets. Applicants must have a drivers licence, a vehicle and a clean driving record. Salary will be commensurate with experience.

St. Albert offers all the amenities of a city of 65,000 people and is located on Edmonton's northwest border.
