Barrhead Leader has served the Town of Barrhead and surrounding area since 1927. Every week, The Leader is packed with comprehensive news and sports coverage, stories about our community, its people and its history.
Our employees are active in the community, sitting as volunteers on many boards and committees and are active in taking leading roles in business events such as the Blue Heron Street Festival, Christmas Light-up and the Blue Heron Fair. The Leader is a dedicated supporter of the community it serves. We cover hockey, baseball, ringette, rodeo, curling, golf, figure skating, drama and cultural events, the schools and library along with municipal politics and support many activities financially each year.
Agriculture, forestry, construction, retail, educational services and health care services are the major industries in the region.
